An Introduction

If you’re here you probably followed the link from my website. As it’s clear, there’s nothing of much interest posted here yet, as of writing this I’ve put the finishing touches on my new revamped web presence. In the future this blog will serve as a repository for my thoughts on life, politics, current events, and anything else that I want to put down on paper to share with the world.

I don’t have any posts for this blog ready quite yet, but I do have three posts in the works, one on American education, one on healthcare, and one on Islam’s relationship with the western world. I’ve got the core ideas down for these posts, and I am in the process of doing research and editing. My goal is to keep the level of discourse here high, and to not post anything that I wouldn’t be comfortable having graded by my Professors or read aloud during a job interview. As a millennial who came of age with social media, I’ve found that anonymity on the web significantly degrades the the level of conversation. I will be the first to admit, I have said things anonymously or semi-anonymously online that I am not proud of, and made definitive statements that I could not have backed up with fact. The creation of this blog, with my name attached, represents a commitment to myself and all those who know me that going forward I will aim to talk more intelligently online.

I will include a short disclaimer: The views expressed by me on this blog, my website, and any social media with my name attached are mine, and mine alone. They do not necessarily reflect the views of my University, any of my friends and associates, or employers.

So, while you wait for me to get some real content up on this blog, I would encourage you to check out some other facets of my web-presence.
